Shed antler/Euro mounting kits
« on: November 20, 2014, 06:23:20 PM »
I've been looking into these as I have a few good sets of sheds that the wife has OK'd to be in the house, but DANG a euro mounting kit from Cabelas for elk is almost $300! Is there anything else out there that isn't quite this painful? I'm also asking because my Dad killed a beautiful bull this year and before I could talk to him about doing a euro, he skull capped it   :yike:  I'd like to suprise him with a good euro mounting kit if there is something that is worthwhile and reasonably priced. Any input?

Nothing? I found the Mountain Mike's kits for $109 at cabelas but they look kind of cheesy to me. Anyone have any experience with them?

Try this....The Shed Spreader

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mountain-mikes-the-shed-spreader-universal-deer-scull-plate-/261521521892?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ce3e5bce4

then you can mount it to a plaque and cover with leather.  Bet it would look pretty good and it is cheap.
