Busy day!
«
on:
October 12, 2014, 08:13:37 PM »
This morning started off well for my boy. We stalked a group of mule deer does, and he was able to pluck one from the herd to fill his 2nd deer tag. We walked back to the house to get our truck. On the way back we seen more deer, so we stopped to glass them. I determined there was one legal buck in the group. Kinda a far shot for him (ranged at 225 yards), but he said he felt confident he could make the shot, and he wanted that buck. He missed the first shot, but reloaded quickly, and dropped him with his second round. He was so exited! This is his first buck.
And to top it off... today is my birthday, and I couldn't think of a better way to spend it.

Doesn't get any better

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
In November U.S. manufacturing contracted for the the ninth consecutive month. Layoffs across the economy are higher than anytime since the pandemic in 2020 and I just read that the Midwest farmers will be receiving a 12B bailout due to 50 year trade relationships being destroyed. I have to admit that I was a sceptic and didn't believe in the effectiveness in tariffs but I'm a believer now.

My son has the blued version.
What ammo are you using? He got it close, but I wasn't real happy with the groups.

Good for him! Can't get better than that!. Hey, 225 yards is a poke for a Rossi Trifecta! My son shot his first buck with the same rifle. Congrats to the young man
