Daughter's 3rd Buck

Not the biggest buck on the mountain, but great time with my girls! When we first got her on the buck it was 300 yards. By the time she finally found him in the scope he was just about 450 yards. When she touched off the .270 short mag, you could hear it connect across the valley. The buck was going into the trees when she shot so we weren't sure what to expect. When we got over there the buck had gone about 25 yards and laid down by a tree. When we got close he hopped up and she got one last free hand shot as he was moving through the oaks and down he went. I held the legs and she did all the skinning and quartering this time... she was fine with me packing it all out though

Good job.
Always a good day when you get to hunt, Better when you get to bring something home.

Enjoy time with your kids, it don't last long...
