2013 Skagit Spring Bear 3/4 mount complete!!!
« on: October 15, 2014, 09:03:21 PM »
Well, yesterday I picked up my 3/4 Black bear mount from Jeff at Trails End Taxidermy out of Dayton,  from my 2013 Spring bear hunt in the North Skagit.  Most of you have probably already seen the field pics from last year and the winner of the Head competition.

When I dropped it off at his shop, all I told him was I wanted a 3/4 mount with the closed mouth and head turned left.  Then he suggested that he do something that he has never done before....so I let him go to town on it.   During the process, he had sent me some progression pictures of how it was turning out.  All of them I saw, I was totally impressed with how it was looking and I was getting really excited about seeing it for the first time in person.  Well needless to say, I am very pleased with how this beast turned out.  It is all that I expected plus more.  This thing is a frickin stud!!

I just returned from deer camp so it was disassembled for the travel back.  I got it put back together and temporarily hung it on the wall along with the 2013 trophy until I get the basement walls redone.  I took quite of few pics but the picture quality wasn't the greatest and might not do the mount the complete justice it deserves.  So all and all, my business will stay with Jeff Monyak at Trails End Taxidermy for many years to come.  The quality, workmanship, and, customer service is second to none.  Thanks again Jeff!!!  I really do appreciate it.   Oh, and this is my 2nd time doing business and both times were unbelievably great.

Can someone fix these sideways photos please??

I also wanna hear some recommendations for my wall color that would make this and my other mounts stand out.
