Wheels- just came out of the teanaway after hunting elk all week. As far as the elk goes it was quite pathetic. The teanaway just isn't what it used to be. I'm a local from cle elum and have spent the last 20 years running around that area. As far as the deer go, well I saw 47 deer on public land running around the mountains, unfortunately out of all those only 3 bucks. But those numbers are much better than the 7 deer I saw up there during modern. Seems like they are starting to move around

Two of them were young bucks that were sparring around, both were small (their ears were taller) and one nice 4x4 by himself. As usual he showed up the week after deer closed  :bash:

i blame an old magazine called hunting fishing news for turning it in to a pumpkin  patch  some guy got i think late tag and shot a big buck and it was in there and following year trucks along roads everwhere

Is it even in print anymore?

That rag ruined lots of good areas for people doing their home work, lazy people just read it and went.

Good luck, hoping you can add some pictures to this tread, lots of pictures of some good deer and great memories. Have a great time with your Dad.

Saw a nice 26"-28" 4x5 cross 97 yesterday outta the Naneum into the teanaway . All swelled up looking for his hoes. Didn't car to much about the highway traffic. Hope he didn't get hit. Would be a great buck to hang a tag on!
