Not sure where to hunt on west side
« on: December 03, 2014, 05:11:00 PM »
This is my first year hunting with a bow and first time hunting the west side. I've been hunting down by onalaska but didn't have any luck and I've triedaround where I live in stanwood but also coming up empty. I don't know where else to try? Preferably around stanwood and north. Was thinking maybe darrington or oso but I don't know the areas up there well enough to know where to go. So anyways I was hoping someone on here might be able to point me in a good direction. Any help is extremely appreciated. Thank you
AJ

What are you hunting for? For deer Onalaska is a good area, lots of animals you just need a lot of patience bow hunting and put yourself in an area that you see good sign and wait for them to come to you. I use a lot of scent eliminator stuff and find small clearings that have trails leading into them.

If your bow hunting don't expect to tag out on the first day. Its all about time in the woods doing things that increase you odds.

If your hunting for elk your guess is as good as mine. I personally believe they don't exist during hunting season.
