Selkirk muley shed
« on: October 19, 2014, 12:57:10 PM »
I don't shed hunt but from time to time when I am out hunting I will find one. Yesterday while out hunting mulies I came across this shed. Looked for a while for the other side but no luck. The critters had got to it a little bit. Its a straight 4 with some stickers on the base but a lot of mass. I know there are some good bucks up there but this just reaffirmed me there are some big boys in there too!

There are some giants in that country and you just found some evidence.   Neat find!

I bet that shed sparks many dreams of a big buck.    I see one once in awhile up there that just stirs the blood, but I hardly ever get a photo of them.   Thick dark country.

Lol I hear ya there! Not sure if you've seen the pic of my mount but the last one I shot was in 2004 and that was only a stones throw from where I found this shed. Like you said thick dark country and they are extremely hard to find. And then throw in the weather and time of year to hunt them and it's tough! But it's not going to stop me from trying.

Definitely some THICK & DARK country. And some STEEP. I love hunting those mountains though.  Just feels great to be there.  Nice shed by the way!  First and only mulie shed I've found was there.
