Spike down

So with all the good fishing I got a late start to hunting season. Plus I had a softball tourney in AZ and been working a lot I just got my tag on Sunday. I put in Sunday afternoon Monday afternoon and all day Tuesday. Wednesday it was 2 hrs after work and nada for shooters. So with the rain this am and the clearing in the afternoon I took off from work at 330. I hear up to the capital forest and drive about 500 yard in. I stop in the road and change into my Camo and wipe off my binos. As I am looking through them I see a deer at about 150 yards. I jump out run down the drainage on the side of the road and look again. Spike!!!! Bang. He is down. Not even15minutes after I left work. Lucky I say. But sure will taste good!! Glad I got him down. Monday would have been my last day to him because of work and such!!!

No need to short arm it we can still see the milk on its lips.
Nice spike, tender eats right there.
