From the sound of your post with the "knocking on doors" and "private land", it makes me think that is farm land.  There are groups of people who draw doe tags, shoot them, drive up to them, put them all in the back of the truck, then unload and gut them all at once.  Just cause it was a 3 point minimum does not mean that there is not another legal hunt going on right now.  Personally, I wouldn't worry about it, other people knock on doors and get permission too.
:yeah:
also youth incentiv hunts go on around here where kids can shoot does.
too might be the landowner himself they can shoot indiscriminatly if tons of deer are ruining their crops.
Seen something similar several years ago on this land I used to hunt for does with a permit or bow during archery season.
But these were just a pile of dead deer like 7-8 or more stunk.
but farmers can shoot them pretty much what they want.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter
