Muley doe tag filled last day!
« on: December 31, 2008, 06:42:35 PM »
It took a bit of convincing to get me to finally shoot a mule deer doe to fill my second deer tag (special permit archery doe), but I figured I had better get serious today since it was the last day.  I had let all of my buddies take their bucks first, but today it was my turn to fill that doe tag.  I made a stalk to get to 35 yards on this bedded doe.  I made a good hit, and she only went a few steps and tipped over.

Notice the lucky sweatshirt I had on today!

Nice job and shirt. You are the first one I have ever seen tag an animal with those fletch things :dunno:

Thanks for the vote, but I'm far from the first.  I've been using them for about 3 years now, and I am convinced that they are a better mousetrap.  They've steered me to 5 deer, 3 elk, and a bear, and I won't be fletching any arrows anytime soon!

Very nice.  As they say, you have yourself some good eatin' there.  Great shootin' too.
