From what i read the EFL is not getting much back anymore. I do not fish it anymore, but i have friends that are very good fishermen that have said that the last few years have been the worst they can remember.
I fish another river that is like the EFL, but has a few more fish... The shoug is my favorite river.

Ive been hitting a few on the Skagit. Hooked 3 on Monday, and saw a few others get caught. However Wednesday was a boat show, and I didnt touch a fish. Hit and Miss, sounds like steelhead fishing.

My brother fished the east fork sat. morning and saw 3 keepers. There starting to pick up. I think with the cold weather it will keep the water low and clear. My bro and I grew up near the east fork, above daybreak park. We love that river.

Lucia is usually a good bet. Get there early and grab your rock.

I have a good amount of vacation time set aside for this season, plenty of eggs, jigs, etc.... I'm thinking that trip #1 may be around new years on the Umpqua, river levels permitting...
