Found a pretty crap little hatchet. The wood handle broken, super rusted, and covered in old electrical tape. Let my cousin keep it. He cleened it up real nice on a grinder, put a new handle on it, wraped it with paracord... bam... now he's got a sweet kindling hatchet for camp.
Some people throw away really good stuff out in the woods.

Jimbo: "That's right, Stanley. Animals are much easier to shoot in the morning."

I just remembered the old hand carved springboard I found in a huge cedar stump near Naselle back in the early 90s. I didn't grab it as I was chasing a herd of elk. Always planned to go back and get it, but never did.

thats awesome! i found one of those last year still stuck in the old stump, crawled up and stood on it and used it to glass the area, i left it there though. figured it earned the history it had in the old stump

Found some sockets, wrenches,an axe,5 little bike pumps, couple arrows, a lot of brass(reloaded some of it) pic axe, canteens, a lot of balloons on top of mountains, shooting sticks, old logging equipment, old cars, fishing pole, winter kills(a moose in Montana), homeless camps, $hit ton of garbage
Last week I found a letherman wave
Couple years ago me and my hunting partner found a fanny pack with a butterfly knife, a buck knife, expensive 3 skinning knife set, 4 different calibers of ammo and spring bear tags. Belon to a couple Indians who we just got done talking to who thought they left in the truck but lost it the day before on a landing

Back in the 80's I found a cigar tin nailed to a tree in WY.  Inside was a mining claim dated Halloween, 1934.  I took photos and then tucked it back in the can.

Yesterday 100 feet off the Carrol Flats loop road. Any guesses what the hell took place there. The rubber glove was closes tight with a wire tie at the wrist.

nothing but tracks and poop for me. Saturday morning in the Colockum I heard a buck bugling about 200 yds in front of me down in the valley. Would have loved to take a shot BUT it was FOGGY as hell ever. We should have pursued the area but after sitting there for 3 hours and feeling like we had hypothermia, we decided to go back to camp for fire and breakfast. On the return trip, nothing but tracks again

lost my hunting jacket stalking a big buck then found it two years later. Needless to say I left it on the ground.

I always enjoy reading these threads and I'm amazed at some of the crazy stuff you all find.  Only thing I ever found was a 2.5lb sledge hammer out in the middle of no where.  I still have it and I've used it many times.

I think somebody needs to start a thread about What have you lost while hunting. ;)
