I was on the way to the outdoors, so this counts.  I was looking for my shoe under a hotel bed in Anchorage when I pulled out a turkey baster.

My Dad and I found the remnants of a prohibition moonshine site in the Big Bend area downstream from Grand Coulee.  This was eons ago, but will never forget it.

Wife and I were elk hunting Manastash and found someone's "bag" right on the middle of the road.

ummmm yeah blonde in the room but what does this mean <insert the whole whoosh right over my head>

I am sitting here thinking dude you found some guys testicles laying in a path and didnt call the authorities....

An entire transmission out of a 4wd rig over a mile from the road, in old growth trees, No Idea how it got there? Maybe it fell out of a flatbed airplane?

Last year while hunting the watershed, my tag-a-long buddy noticed he had forgotten his hunter orange vest back at camp and needed (wanted) to go back and get it. The walk along the intake was about 45 minutes and the drive to camp was about 15-20 minutes. So I told him if he wanted to go get it, go ahead, odds were he was going to be able to get there and back and catch me about time to drop in the shed, as he is a lot younger and moves like a deer.  He went like a bat out of hell, almost wrecked but eventually caught up to me just as I got to the drop-in point. Sure as hell about a half mile in to my walk, laying in the middle of the trail was a new hunter orange vest. I saw it with my head lamp and started to laugh. Nothing special, but still kinda funny to me. Come to find out, his vest still in his truck, he just didn't look well enough.

I was with "romaknows' when we found a decomposed body of a 26 year old utah man. Walked up on it thinking it was a dead deer, turned out to be what no one ever and I mean ever wants to find. Hopefully his family will get some closure, no cause of death had been determined yet.

No dead people hunting, but more than one fishing.

Had a few years there when I found Pot grows a couple times a year.  Was funny, when the OSP would come in and clear them out they would leave a sign "Harvested --/--/---- by Oregon State Police"  Not sure if that was a policy or just one of our local officers.  I was told it was so no one would get killed being blamed for taking someone's stash.

Shovels...at least a dozen shovels!

When I would hunt off the PCT I would find pipes and Maryjane baggies about once a year.

On the Oregon Coast we ran upon a good number of huge fossil beds.  Nothing big and exciting, but lots of them!

A couple wallets, couple grave stones, couple bows, a couple axes, couple binoculars, lots of ammunition, one 30-30 Marlin, about a dozen knives and at least two dozen archery release aides.  Folks need to stop putting things on top of the car!!!

Then of course the best find is cash and gold.  I think over the past 30 years I've found close to $500 in cash laying either on the road or on the PCT.  Once in CA found a nickel sized gold nugget right next to a pig I had shot.  Think the pigs had rooted it up.  Biggest nugget I've ever held.  Land owner seemed pretty dang excited to get that as a tip!

Sure I will remember more, but those are the things that come to mind first.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Few years ago walking up a jeep road to a radio tower on a hill I found a bunch of fishing lures. I'd find one every couple hundred yards all the way up. No idea why or how they got there, as there is nowhere nearby to fish.

I can't think of much that is too odd. But I came across a couple similar threads. The ifish one has some really bizarre findings... Once you get started it's quite hard to stop reading these threads! Don't start at work, your day will be shot, trust me  :chuckle:
