bucks killed in unit 133
« on: October 24, 2014, 07:16:29 PM »
Anyone get a buck in unit 133 Roosevelt? If you did post them here please! I shot a 4 by 4 whitetail buck, 200 lbs, 17 inch spread on October 18th, with a m1917 eddystone 30-06 and .165 federal fusion ammo. I missed a GIANT  :yike: :bash: :'( mulie buck, 6 by 6  that had a 26 inch or better spread an hour before I got the whitetail buck. I missed that one huge mulie buck, and saw 3 other great whitetail bucks in 3 days of hunting.

Lots of bucks hit the dirt in 133 this year! Got any pics of your buck to share?

I will as soon as my cousin emails me them. He's taking forever! It's not huge it scores just over 100 points, but lots of meals to be had in future off of that feller.

We hunted Roosevelt for my son's first hunt.  Saw one maybe legal white tail but he didn't slow down enough to tell for sure.  I was surprised at how few deer we saw on the three and a half square miles of private land we had access to.  Lots of coyotes howling at night though.

Here's a picture of the bucks antlers I just took. It's the whitetail in my hands. The other deer is a 4pts mule deer I shot with my Hoyt 2 years ago in the same area. The buck I got scores 102 1/8 and weighed in at 200 lbs, with a 17 inch outside spread. 3-3.5 years old

Nice job on the 5 for 5, I'm  19/19 on deer now, 14 for 14 rifle, and 5 for 5 with my Hoyt. We went 1 for 4 in my camp in Lincoln county this year. IM THE ONLY ONE WHO GOT ONE  :IBCOOL: My father got a 4 by 4 mulie, and his hunting partner got a 3 by 4 Mulie archery season. So I guess we're 3 of 6 total. Can't wait to see your pics!!!!! It's a great area that's for sure.
