Bobcat miss - Finally Got Her
« on: October 24, 2014, 10:02:41 PM »
On a nuisance job, I set this double door trap for bobcat at a good choke point and brushed it in. Somehow I missed him as he walked through the trap and even paused to smell what was probably the bobcat urine I sprayed in there.  I guess it just goes to show you that cat's do have nine lives.

If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

I hear ya but this trap is a sturdy Tomahawk and has already caught another otter since then.

I use my 10x18 swim throughs for cats. I just turn them on their side.

Awesome picture Bruce. I set one out yesterday, but I'm still learning the cat game.

Finally got her (an 18 1/2 lb female) in an even smaller double door blind set in a narrow passage between two poultry enclosures.  This cat showed no interest in any of the baited and lured sets I recently put in the area.  A double-door set like this is very low maintenance but still likely to eventually catch chicken-killers.
