Blacktail buck down!
« on: October 26, 2014, 09:53:53 PM »
Got my second blacktail buck last night!
It was pouring rain, I had been out all day when I noticed the gate that leads to my favorite clearcut was open. So I drove in, sat in my favorite clearcut by a stump I usually dose off on,10 minutes later a doe stepped out then about 10 seconds later this guy followed right out behind her. I put the crosshairs on him, pulled the trigger, all I could see through my scope was a bright orange fireball . He made it maybe 50 yards and laid down. Now I have meat in the freezer and another skull for the wall! Ate fresh backstrap and had plenty of beer all night! Now that's a good Saturday!! Not to mention all within 15 minutes from home, gotta love it!

+1 on the Vitamin R tall boy.

I don't get the sequence.  I see a whole deer in the garage, but a head on the bed of the pickup truck.

Great deer, Back Woods.
