Free shipping, but you have to pay tax because they have stores in WA.

http://www.cabelas.com/product/Nikon-25-10X40-M-223-Laser-IRT-with-BDC-600/1839344.uts

Just ordered one, will post a review after I figure out what rifle to put it on.

That looks like it would be a great little scope on a 223 and one hell of a deal BUT everything I've read about them says their mounting system sucks and the scope frequently comes loose and being an integrated mounting system I'm not sure there is anything you can do to change it.

I was all set to order one until I read about them and the issues most had with their mounting setup.  Everyone seemed to really like the scope though.

Hopefully it isn't that big of a problem and you have no issues with yours at all because that's a smoking deal.  Get it mounted up and to the range soon as you get it.  Then you can tell us all first hand if there is a problem with the mounting hardware or not.

I read about the mounting issues as well. Depending on the tube O.D., you may be able to mount it conventionally.

After looking at one of these things I don't see how that would be possible.  But, I'm half tempted to buy one anyway and if it doesn't work out I can just return it.  Problem with that though, is I don't have anything to put it on and I can already read everyone's mind because you're all thinking, sounds like a good excuse to buy another gun, right? LOL

Looks like Cabelas has sold these out already. I got 1 ordered yesterday. We'll see what the mounting options are when it shows up. Like b23 said, i can easily return it if I dont like it. Or.....see if someone wants it for cost and a modest mark up.

Those are the M series not P which means they are based on the Monarch and not the Prostaff scope.  That's a good thing.

I hope that mounting system works out ok for you.  I think that'd be a fun little scope on something like a light weight, Remy 260, carry gun.  Please let us know what you think of it when you have it up and running on something.

Has anyone received a shipping confirmation yet? Tends to happen that they only have a few when they have a deal like this and I get an email advising that they were sold out even though my order went through and they are sorry they cannot process the order.

Got my shipping confirmation this morning and my account was hit yesterday. I still need to do a track on it but should have it next week.

Got mine in the mail today. I will try and get it mounted this week and sighted in by the weekend.  The rangefinder is very quick and accurate. Cant wait to dial it in.

UPS said mine was dropped on my porch 2:19 Tuesday - which it wasn't.  Waited the mandatory 24 hours then called UPS to open an inquiry.  They said to look around the porch and check with the neighbors, then call Cabela's.  As if I'm going to spend my time walking around the neighborhood asking about a package....  UPS sucks.

Called Cabela's and they said "How soon do you need the replacement?"  Great customer service.

They are back in stock but $499 now.

Anything is possible.  I live on a cul-de-sac at the end of an island so there are a couple of bottlenecks to ingress/egress which really lowers the crime rate.  One of the reasons I live where I do.  Anything suspicious tends to stick out.

Any mounting system can loosen up.  Mount it securely, but check the mount screws/bolts after a range session...
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

I love the scope. Optics are great and the RF is quick and accurate. It is a bit odd looking on a wood stock bolt gun, but its the performance a guy is after. I could Cerekote the whole set up :dunno:.
All in all, it was a great deal!

Yeah, it figures.  I knew I should have bought one. lol

I think one sitting atop something like a 223 bolt gun would make for a great little coyote setup.  Minimal recoil to give the mounting system fits.  Thanks for the reply.  Keeps us updated on how it does after more use.

It was earmarked for a Remington 700 in .308, but once mounted I had more of a chin weld than a cheek weld.  The integral mount is taller than it looks.  If you had a stock with a very high comb it might work.  Second choice was the LR-260.  Height is just right.  Close eyes, settle into the rifle, open eyes, and reticle is right there.  Been too busy hunting to sight it in (will go on Saturday) but the rangefinder is quick and accurate.

Found one for $399 + $9.95 shipping. Google and shop around boys. Cabelas is expensive.

ELKBURGER or fly-by, I understand this is nearly a year old thread but I was curious how these scopes have worked out for you now that you've got nearly a year of use with them.  Are you still using them or did they not work out so well after having them a few months???

Still have it, but haven't used it yet.  It was set aside for an 18" .308 AR build that was recently finished.

Just a question, no need to jump on me.  I always thought having electronics on your weapon was illegal in our state?  I remember a guy a while back had a flashlight on his bow and got in trouble.  Just a question not insinuating anything.

No, unless it is a laser, pointer style. Range-finder style are currently okay:

I'm kind of wishing I would have bought one of these things when they were $250 because I think it be handy little scope on my Sav. Bmag 17 WSM for shooting sage rats and or other little critters.

It is an awesome scope. I mounted mine on my M77 243. The only issue was the mounting.... I had to get an adapter for the ruger mount. It put the scope abit taller than I liked, and the adapter would not tighten adequately, therefore it wouldn't hold zero. Great scope for a rail platform rifle.
