JUST GOT BACK FROM MY KANSAS DEER HUNTING TRIP
« on: December 15, 2008, 08:33:04 PM »
We did pretty good my 11 year old nephew got his first a nice doe

my brother-in-law got a spike

his brother dropped a nice 3x4, I don't have a good pic of that one he went home before I could get a good pic

then I dropped my best one yet

one shot with the contender 30/30 using the hornaday leverlution rounds at 87 yards took 2 steps then dead love the leverlution rounds.  here is another pic with me and my dad who got me into hunting and has passed that down to my brother-in-law, his brother and my nephew and next year we will have my daughter and my niece out there also I am not sure it gets any better than that

thank guys,

the brow times are 12 inches long.  his bases are between 7 to 7 1/2 inches around. He has some stickers of the back and at least 2 broken points on him.

well I shot him opening evening, and we hung him at the camp till saturday "4 days" and the spike got hung next to him and ruffed him up a little. however we was in full rut his neck was swollen and his tarsels were leaking when I walked up to him to dress him out.  he was odd colered for a whitetall in the area we hunt more like a mulley.  face and ears looked small too
