I have tried just about every pair of cabelas waders and have never had one not leak within a month. I just recently bought the dry plus breathables for this season. They are awesome waders besides the fact there leaking badly in the right ankle now. Before that I had the north flight one straps which lasted about twenty days before the crotch seam started to leak. I hike quite a bit usually do multiple loads of dekes from rig and back. How in the world do you guys get your waders to last years yet alone even just months? I'm pretty hard on them as I hunt every day but I still think I should be able to get thirty hunts out of a dang pair. Am scared to try anything but cabelas because when they leak I can exchange and I know they will leak. Anyone else have similar experience?

5mm neoprene stockingfoot cabelas with their boa wading boots. Have only used them once, but they felt good. Comfortable and warm while still maneuverable with wool socks & liner, a lightweight bottom base layer, midweight top base layer and 2-pc waterfowl wading jacket.

It sounds like you need to do your hiking in something more durable and pack your waders in for hunting and decoy setting.

If you get USIA be very sure of the measurements and I would say have them measure you and do a custom fit. Their standard size is a very different cut from any other wader. And make sure you do a boot upgrade. The standard boot is terrible. For the cost it's a shame IMO.
what in the wild wild world of sports???

I'm on my 3rd year with a cheep pair.  I built a wood shelf in my garage with slots in it that I use to hang them by the boots upside down.  So far so good.  Those ASIA waders looks awesome.  They sure are proud of them though.  Do they have a storefront?  When mine ware out I like the idea of getting a custom fit.  They should use Muck Boots instead of bogs I think.

For those with USIA waders, what camo pattern did you get?

Looks like I jinxed myself.  Cheepo waders got a hole last Sunday.  Going to try aquaseal from cabelas to patch.  Looks like I will be needing a new pair a lot sooner than I hoped.

Not really a store front. They are a Gov defense contractor. You will have to call ahead, they will give you a quick tour and a fitting. I have been in there a couple times and USIA is great to work with. The cost comes from the American manufacturing, it's all built in the NW. NOT imported like all the others.

I'm getting a lot of PM's about these waders.

I had to seriously modify the measurements. I'm 6'4" 330 pounds, regular waders never fit. When I went in to get fitted I had them add a lot of height (they come clear up to my neck) added some extra leg length. Had them install the large zippered pocket.

When I received mine originally they didn't have bogs in stock so I used the dive boots, they suck. After the first season ended I had them install the bogs, the best wader boot I have ever used.

In all total I think mine ran 400? Which is very spendy until I realized that I wore through a set of $225 every year. I could not be happier with my waders to this point. By far the most durable and comfortable waders I have ever owned.

The cheapest ones I can find!
Because $100 or $300 they are probably only lasting a season

DO NOT buy the banded breathable waders ( waterfowl mag, wader of the year)
The seam on them will rub a hole in your leg if you do much walking & then they will be a bloody mess, I know because my partner was that guy on the opener I remember they leaked too he returned them after that one hunt
Those $300 banded waders were unthought out junk

I have been thinking abut pulling the trigger on the waders Tealer is talking about I first heard of them 3 or 4 years ago everything I have heard is pausitive ..

I try to buy $100 waders but with tax etc it ends up $150 some times they last a season,  often not. 3 years at $150 a year is $450 I'm not great at math but I think I may be better off taking the hit once instead of every year ..

cabelas super mags, 1600 grams never cold and love the warranty, 4 yrs and have exchanged 2 times for holes where the boot connects to the neoprene, take them back and exchange for new ones. last time I complained and received $100 gift card for my trouble.
