How they do it in the Russian Taiga
« on: January 14, 2015, 10:51:12 AM »
I stumbled upon a youtube series called "happy people". It is about Russian trappers and the lives they live in Siberia. There are 4 parts to the series. I thought you all would like them. I sure did.

Pretty sure the whole movie or documentary is on Netflix or Amazon Prime also.

Can't remember which one for sure, but I've watched it on 1 or the other.

Good stuff.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Netflix , watched it awhile back . Talk about real men ! I think anyone of those guys would have even the most harcore  "reality" or hunting show guy crying by the end of the day . Or for that matter 99% of us ... :chuckle:

Thanks for sharing.  Boy they live a different life than we do.  I would say a much harder living.

I loved that movie. The part I remember especially was how that old guy selected the tree to use to make his skis. Pretty relevant for those of us that like to make stick bows.
