Teanaway bull tag
« on: November 03, 2014, 05:11:02 AM »
Hi there, Ive been blessed with a teanaway muzz bull tag dec 9-16. I've been up there scouting every weekend trying to find that once in a lifetime bull, I've seen some good ones but I want to do this tag right. I hiked all over Red Top and bible rock, doesn't look like the elk have moved in there to heavy yet. If anyone has any suggestions please help me out. Thanks. The pics are on page two and the story is on page three. Thanks everyone and thanks hunt Wa

Ya I hiked quite a bit down low saw a couple Bulls one 315" 6x6. But I didn't seem they were in there thick yet. The last big bull tag I drew I was in the Marine Corps and didn't get a chance to hunt. So Im Not sedleing for anything short of monsterous.

I second this. Had this tag about 7-8 years ago and it is a tough tag. Weather is key and if it were me, I would start low and work my way up if you aren't finding them.

:yeah: but there maybe snow or may not. Second the private ground.  Not all will be on private but the vast majority will be. If you have not secured any private ground it will definetly be tough.

For that time of year, as is stated, weather will be the key factor. A friend had the cow tag that starts just after this a few years ago and we were able to find plenty of elk down low, on public land, including a few bulls. We only had about 8-10" of snow where we were though. If there is more, they will be lower and on private ground. If there isn't much snow, I think you will find plenty of elk on public ground.

I've been talking to A guy that runs a farm on teanaway rd and he said he would probably let me hunt, but they had a family tragedy and I don't want to hug him about elk hunting after that. If any of you guys have buddies with property I don't have a problem with paying to hunt. I'll do what ever it takes to get a good one.

You may want to contact the farm and garden store in Cle Elum and ask them for some names. I'm sure they know all the land owners there

Plenty of public land holding plenty of elk (right behind the private land).

If you scout it, you should do fine.
