Probable new Idaho record bull
« on: November 05, 2014, 03:54:41 PM »
My brother's business partner shot this amazing Idaho bull using a muzzle loader.  Green scored 414.  Current record is 412.  Probably second largest ever with a muzzle loader in the world, I'm told.  Shelly is an avid hunter and a good woman.  I have only small parts of the story and those details may be private, so I'm not posting them.  Enjoy the photos.

Outstanding bull, congrats to her.  Not to take anything away but i see more than 2" of deductions - don't think it'll hold as the new ID record  :dunno:  Doesn't matter a bit, dream bull for sure.

Love it...

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

It may if the 414" measurement was the net score, which would be after deductions. It's not the deductions you need to worry about at that point, it's the amount it shrinks as it dries.

Amazing bull. I guess I would've assumed that there had been some bigger muzzleloader bulls killed in the world from a guessing standpoint. Pretty cool stat for sure.

Man that is a PIG!  I think this would be the new record!   GT Nunn's Arizona muzzy bull last year was the new record at 412 I think.   Congrats to the hunter and thanks for sharing.
