Plenty of goose hunters and coyote hunters on our pheasant site down here. Never seen a one of them wearing orange. I've seen them get checked by the gamies and have never seen a ticket given. So I am thinking it is not required, but I do not know for sure. The sign at entrance to the site does say, "All hunters must wear Hunters Orange". Doesn't single out pheasant hunters but that seems to go against the state regulations pamphlet.
As an active pheasant hunter I personally would prefer anyone cutting through be wearing some orange. I know we have unknowingly peppered a few goose hunters
(no decoys/no dogs) that were hiding from us in the corn. Was always upsetting to me, but heck they were hiding from us - not sure what I could have done differently.

I'd consider it a courtesy rule even if it is not required. You can always lose the hat or small vest when you hit the trees.
