« on: December 16, 2008, 09:55:24 PM »
This was forwarded to me from a friend.  I don't think its on here yet.  IF it is I am sorry.  This is the buck Robodad didn't find when he went to Wisconsin this year.  What a monster.

I actually hunted Mondovi a couple days too but I am just a lowly public land hunter and bucks like that don't live in public besides I could not afford to hunt on private land in Buffalo County Wi.

If you can afford it you should be able to get very nice bucks, that area is covered up in huge WT bucks but they reside on private land. I think that one should be a record, and if not, a really great trophy for some lucky hunter !!!

How old is that video? It looks like a buck they had named Goliath. I saw an article in field and stream about it a while back.

If it is a different buck.........SWEET.

Goliath is or was? (not sure there if he is still alive) a captive deer on a ranch in Pennsylvania that at one time they scored over 300 inches but is ineligible for B&C because he is on a game ranch. So this is a different buck, now I am sure people across the country have named the largest buck in their heard after Goliath so there may be more than one with the name.

boone and crockett says this might be it

Bob Decker of Eau Clarie, WI arrowed this giant in Buffalo County, the same county mentioned in the now famous Field & Stream video showing a huge buck in velvet reported to contend as the next World's Record typical. It is reported that this buck was taken a half-mile from where the live video was taken.
