Talley QD Ring Question

ust installed my first set of Talley QD rings. Followed the instructions for both bases and rings per torque specs etc.

Question.....the last thing one torques on the QD rings are the upper two small screws on each ring. When that is done will there be a gap at the top between each ring when done?
