Stud Blackie
« on: November 08, 2014, 04:06:23 PM »
For 3 years I have tried to get a good photo or two of this buck.  Weather it be or him (him mostly) various things have not cooperated.
I only see him for about 10 days out of the year here in November.  Otherwise, he's just never around at least in the daylight hours.
3 years ago I saw him as a very nice 4x4 with average width and mass.  Last year he was 4x5 and heavy.  This year he's all grown up now - 5x6, wide, excellent mass and extra junk to boot.
I want to apologize for the quality of the pics.  Normally this time of year I have my DSLR and 80x200 on board.  Of all the days I chose to drive a different truck to work, it has to be today.   :(
The I-phone photos at full zoom and 40 yards is as good as it gets.
He's sniffing the trail that a half dozen does cruised thru not 20 minutes earlier.

Enjoy!!

In the general vicinity of the Bellingham airport.  In the county.

Looks a lot like the buck that has been known to hang around bakerview and whatcom community college area. I will dig around and find some pictures of him in velvet. He is a stud for sure, nice to see him out spreading his seed.

I've seen him around also and just drool over him...another reason for crossbow hunting inside city limits
