Nice Gift
« on: November 09, 2014, 03:37:24 PM »
My elderly father in law has been telling me for quite sometime that he had a couple of guns he wanted to give me to get them out of the house.  He's not nor ever has been a hunter, he just bought these years ago from a relative who needed money.  Says he thinks the model 64 30-30 was shot ten or so years ago, but has no idea when the model 94 32 spec. Was last shot.   Serial numbers show the 94 was made in 1949 and the 64 in 1953.  I really don't know their value but I'm looking forward to running a few rounds thru them, and told him not to worry about getting me a Christmas present.

Nice rifles.  He's smart to transfer now before I594 red tape comes into play.

I've got a 32 exactly like that one that was my mom's and I shot my first deer with it around 1960 or so. I haven't shot it for about 20 years or more now.
