Was it a sneak and blast?  Why the camo face paint when your lanyards can be seen from a mile? 8).  Congrats on the shoot.
Just out of curiosity, what made you ask if it was a "sneak and Blast" ?
Even when we hunt from a blind, we camo our faces.  All the light has to do is catch your face right and you shine like a mirror.

One of the many uses for camo tape (on the shiny calls).

Congrats guys
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

That picture is awesome. What a great day 20 years from now you are going to look back on that and think those were the days.
Lead em if they're running.

I've never understood why calls are made so shiny, I also like to camo my face and hands, a white face sticks out like a white flag.

Im sorry, i dont know anyone whos going to "walk" some birds out. If a flock comes in, it comes in and gets shot at, we simply pick a bird or 2 and shoot. We are not out there to "walk" birds anywhere. All birds get educated regardless. If your "walking birds" dont take up a hunting spot someone else can use for "Hunting the birds".  Thanks.
Don't have to believe it happened or not that's what happened so  :dunno:

And lanyards can't be seen when we got our waders on and when we wear them when were hunting.

And no it wasn't a sneak and blast birds started pouring in about 5 mins before hours then right at shooting time we had a nice tight group caught up in the wind at maybe 10 yards out and there was already about 150 birds in our spread so once those ones were right in the spot we let em rip dropped 12 birds out of it before we could fully reload we had another group already settling in took another 7 out of that then we were just getting out to pick birds up had another flock come in of teal took 2 out of that...  And we were done... Got all our birds picked up as a few hundred more tried pouring in, we sat back in the blind let them finish pouring in all morning then once they were done feeding and about all gone for the morning we got out of there! The birds wanted in there badly, we've been letting it build up for awhile, everything panned out perfectly, I don't get why a person needs video for proof of it happening.

Your spot will hunt a lot better if you walk those early birds out and shoot the ones coming in.  When you bust loose into the flock you educate a lot of birds that may go elsewhere.  We have a few spots where we will not shoot any large flocks.  Only small groups.  If a big flock comes in, we walk them out.  Keeps the hunting good.

its actually not uncommon for guys to not shoot the that are hanging out on the water right at hunting hours private property, just like snow geese and you don't shoot the first wave of geese coming in cause the next couple will be coming in lower

GF23 i think you will find a lot of successful hunters are able to hunt the same spots throughout the season by "walking" birds out or not blasting the first thing they see move.  I dont think you will hear anyone with any great experience say that it is better to blast away at anything that comes in no matter what.  I am glad the indiscriminate blasting approach works for you aaaaaaaannnnnndddddd keeps you in your area.

All of our spots hunt very well (besides the wind storm and ice) we do very good, we manage our spots we only hunt a spot once a week the next day we will hunt another vice versa keeps the birds moving around. Usually they go into spot a where we are hunting get our shoot in go drive by spot b which is about 1 1/2 miles away scout out where to set up the next day and we do it and you can gaurentee those birds are back in the am where we set up at b spot, after that shoot we check out spot c if we got a Monday off etc. nice thing is our spots.... No one else can hunt them with out me or my few buddies. Got enough locked down ground to hunt a different spot every day for 2 weeks and not hit the same spot.... Soo some days it's a toss up on where to hunt cus there either all pour or there all too good.... Don't need anyone's opinion on what to do with the am pre shooting time birds etc. we all hunt we all love it and we all have our different a ways going about it. Thanks for the advice tho everyone
