We did ok
« on: November 09, 2014, 05:06:39 PM »
I was not going to share but decided what the hell...My buddy and I were drawn for some bull tags. I did not get the bull I was after nor in some peoples opinion a bull worthy of the tag but I had a great time with friends put meat in the freezer and to top it off shot my bull on my daughters first birthday. Here are some pics. The first is my buddys bull the second is mine and the third is my friend with his first elk.

It looks like you guys did great! Congrats on a successful hunt to all involved. Score is seldom a good gauge of success (imo). With age I have come to value the hunt and time in the mountains far more than the kills.  Again congrats to all of you.

Is the prevailing attitude on this board that everyone is Jim Shockey?  Dude both elk are pretty nice and I hope you are proud of them.  Nice job.

All three are DAMN nice bulls. From someone who has killed 10 elk, and has yet to kill a bull I'd be proud of any of them.

Nothing wrong with those bulls. Those are all trophies in my eyes.

Beautiful bulls! As I get older I appreciate the time in the field with friends and family to be the trophy. :)

Meh...if you're happy with it, who cares what anyone else thinks. Nice job, I'd be more than happy to tag any one of those anytime.

Glad you shared, Ross. You guys did well and killed some nice Bulls. More importantly you busted your butts and shared some quality time with those mountains. Good job and thanks for sharing. Congrats.
