Fitness Bands and Watches
« on: November 11, 2014, 01:52:02 PM »
Ok who has one and do you like it? It would be for my wife--probably a Christmas present I guess. want to be ready for Black Friday. I don't shop on Thanksgiving  :twocents:

Willing to spend $100-300. Heart rate monitor would be nice, but it sounds like that's a separate accessory one must wear. Not sure my wife would be into that. GPS and mileage/pace counter would be nice. It seems as though FitBit has it down here. I'd consider the Samsung Smart Watch and open to reviews on that. I'm going to pass on any Crapple Macintrash products so the iWatch is out.

My wife has a bad habit of getting herself set on using something/partaking in a new hobby/coming up with new interests then never following through. This trend continued with the fitness watch idea she had last christmas or the year before...can't recall. I bought her a pretty nice Garmin setup that was recommended to me by a friend of my brothers who owns a running store back east. I'm pretty positive that she's literally never used it, and it's not because she doesn't excersize. She runs like crazy all the time. I don't get it.

Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

My wife saves such procrastinary energy for not doing housework.  :bash: I'm pretty she would use such a watch though--at least I think.

Leaning towards the FitBit Charge or the Garmin VivoTracker right now.

I don't know much about them but I would also look into the online tracking/reporting/bragging for each as the people I know that have them seem to like to share more then they do actually using the information for their own use.
