That's a great looking bull! But the others are right, it's way more satisfying when you get one with your kids. She will remember this for ever. Congratulations.

There's more to the wife's elk hunt, but we ended up eating the tag - it didn't taste all that great either!  Long story short, we sat on a 380ish bull Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with her hunt set to open on Monday.  Sunday, the last day of deer season, some guy wasn't seeing any deer and thought it would be cool to see how close he could get to this bull and his cows.  We didn't see the bull again til we were on our last couple days and just didn't have enough time to sit on him til he made a mistake.

We had a good time and saw several bulls in the 370 range, one in the 380s, one in the 390s and three or four we thought would break 400 pretty easy.  She passed on a few small bulls, holding out for the one we'd been watching, but it wasn't to be?  She was pretty bummed, but that's the way it goes sometimes when you hold out til the end.

As for the pictures, we were having a tough time with the whole picture taking program.  It wasn't til I got back that I realized we didn't have any good group shots.
