Here is another way to bring attention to the idiocy of 594  Wait until you know one of the idiots that did not research the total affects of 594 and voted for it then wants to go to the range or maybe hunting and wants to borrow or shoot your weapon offer to take them let them as soon as they have passed their background check....explaining they need their background check to fire or even handle someone else's guns.

"Geeze-Is it somehow lost that 60% of the voters voted for 594?  It didn't just get approved, it got approved by an absoulute landslide, and 591 got defeated by a landslide!! "

Yep thats right!!  BUT don't forget, only a 36% turn out to vote :bash:

Too many LAZY people in this state!!! DIDN'T get out and VOTE :bdid:

You assuming that even with an 70 percent turnout to vote the outcome wouldnt be the same?

Actually turnout was approximately 50% and King county was only 50%.  Easy to estimate based on usual voting trends that had there been a 70% turnout 594 would have passed by closer to 500,000 votes.  This had nothing to do with lazy voters, like it or not, it's very obvious what the voters of the state wanted and it's very doubtful, based on the vote, that the legislature will touch this.  Reality is we are a minority in this state and have done very little to generate any sympathy from the non gun owners.  The task ahead is how to convince those who don't have strong sentiments about guns, that these types of laws only impact legitimate, law abiding gun owners and do very little, if anything, to impact the criminal use of firearms. Again, a big open showing of a bunch of gun toting yahoos saying openly that they won't obey the new law will only make this task much harder.

Very bad idea. Definitely sends the wrong message in my opinion.
Tak that same amount of time and write your representatives - over and over again.
