What broadhead do you use?

have always had good luck with the thunderheads. this year switched to the shuttle T's

they fly good for me but haven't had a chance to see what it does to an animal yet.. MAYBE TODAY 

I used to use thunderheads and changed to the Shuttle T's this year myself.  Both my buddy and I put the smack down on some mulie does and they both only went 10 yards and keeled over.  They also blead out really quick.  I love em!

The only thing that I really have to have to in a broadhead is interlocking blades, no O rings, and a super hard tip, MUZZY, MUZZY, and oh ya, a MUZZY does al of this.

My buddy shot his mx4 into a cinder block at 20yrds at 275fps and the broadhead was fine

I don't claim to be any expert on bow hunting and I freely admit have have limited experience... so I may be way out in left field.  However, the one thing that sold me on Shuttle-T Locks was a similar type of thing.  For what it's worth:

I saw a test were a local bow shop owner shot like 8 -12 different broadheads into a piece of sheet metal using the same arrows/bow/distance etc.....  I'm assuming he didn't "rig" the test since he sells a wide variety of em.  The differences in penetration and deformation between the various broadheads was pretty great.  Some barely penetrated before completely deforming.  Of the ones he shot, the Shuttle-T was the only one to completely penetrate and maintain it's overall structural integrity.  

Again... not sure if that kind of terminal performance means anything within the context of killing w/ a bow but it's a main principal I believe very strongly in when it comes to bullet performance.  The fact that they fly almost exactly like my field tips is really nice too.

Well take this for what its worth, which may be nothing to you experts. I have taken loads of animals with the 85 TH's. I am not a giant and am not pulling 75+ lbs like a lot of you guys. So many look at my arrows and broadhead and laugh, but at 380 grams total weight I have plenty of meat in my freezer and bone on the wall and floor of the garage to make most jealous. I am proud to be able to say that all my kills have been with one shot, even the one I lost but found the next week.

 Point being, with todays technology in archery gear you're going to be okay with any of them as long as you practice with them. Its still shot placement that determines the effectiveness of your gear. A well placed shot with a Beman/T-Head combo is going to work better than a poor placed shot with your top of the line FMJ/T-Locks.

That is 100% correct.... as long as the heads are tuned properly it is all just preferance.... I prefer the muzzy 4 blade for the damage they have done on my elk and the deer I have shot with them... nothing put a more massive hole or did more damage.... but all the other heads I have shot game with still had the same end result..... dead animal...

Couldn't agree with you more. It's all about preference and what you shoot good and consistant. The next single important thing is sharpness of the BH. If you use a dull BH it may push a artery to the side as it passes thru instead of cutting it. You should always make sure whatever BH your using is as sharp as it can be.

I hope folks didn't take my post as some kind of statement that Shuttle Ts are the end all and all the others are piss and you're a fool if you're not shooting Shuttle Ts.  My intention was just to relate the objective reasoning I chose a particular head.  I couldn't agree more w/ the sentiment that a well placed shot is far more important than what you shoot.

I have always used the 4 blade muzzy 100 grain but I think I am going to try the MX4 100 grain this year. Larger cutting diameter. Heard some good stuff about them

love the mx4 thats been my choice the last 2 years... I also shot some shuttle t for my last deer of the yeat to try em out, still going mx4 next year.. they put a massive hurting on game, and the blades are easy to sharpen

Broadheads are just like bows, arrows, releases, sights, rests, stabilizers, camo, and everything else that is on the market...  Everyone has their OWN opinion on them and what works for them may be great but it is bound and deteremind that someone else will disagree and choose another product!

After saying all that...  Here is what I think about Muzzy's...       (Just for you Paul!  )
