That is a dandy! I've shot around 20 blacktails and can't say I've ever gotten one that nice.

That's great, congrats! My son will be 12 next year and I would like to take him on his first deer hunt.  May I ask what rifle your son used?

Yes this was a local buck.  He was using a Remington youth model 7, 7mm-08 it is the fourth deer he has got with this gun and he shot a bear with it this year as well.  I think it is a great youth gun. His big brother has one as well and it has served him well. He took the lead for the biggest black tail in the family beating out dad and two older brothers!

He's shot four deer with that gun so he's been hunting since he was eight??  And been successful every year? Wow
