Should have been in the tree/blind today
« on: November 14, 2014, 05:57:24 PM »
Been hunting this buck since Aug, we decided to not hunt today as it is the last day before I am gone for 2 weeks for work. Went to check the cam.... wouldn't you know it.... a nice 3x3 and then this guy were out enjoying the sun! the cam showed bucks of all sizes out during the last 5 days.. this 4x4 is the only "shooter" we have.. the others are nice but we would like to give them 1 more year... I fully expect a pic of the big guy on the ground in the next 2 weeks from the wife. This was the first daylight pics of this guy since mid sep.

Smaller 3x3

That double throat patch is pretty stellar as well on that buck.

yes it is, he would look great on the wall next to the 4x4 she killed in that same spot last year.

Ya she has a good chance.. the deer did the exact same thing last year. they start to show up in the day around the 15-20th of Nov... we killed our bucks in the 25th and 30th last year.

Wow, I need property like that. Surprised he's coming out now, I've always seen the big boys appearing in the daylight around Halloween.

ya its been good to us, if we could get access to the land on the other side of the fence it would be epic, all the deer live there and come onto our land, we had a big 3x3 earlier but it seems he got shot or killed by something as we have not seen him in months... the wife wanted him more then this 4x4.... I really want to see how long his back tine is on the right side... looks 16-18 in to me.
