Favorite piece by far is the Attack pants. Throwing in the rest of my Kuiu top 5 for good measure...1. Attack Pants - In my opinion, the best all season hunting pants on the market. 2. Gaiters - Nothing revolutionary, they just plain work.3. Superdown Jacket - I'm getting all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.4. Chugach - Would have ranked much higher but the noise factor knocked it down a couple of slots.5. Belt - I know, I know. A belt on a top 5 list seems stupid. However, I've went through many belts that were a literal pain in the but (and hips) when wearing a pack. This one is almost perfect. And, before I start sounding like a Kuiu spokesman. Here are my least favorite...1. Neck Gaiter - Too thin and too itchy. Switched to FL and couldn't be happier2. Guide Jacket - Cuffs were way too small. Inner linning gripped everything. It was like having a severe case of static cling.3. Guide Beanie - Seriously, is this thing made for infants???4. Guide Pant - No real complaints, just didn't work for me.5 Ok, so I don't have a 5th item that I don't like. But the lists had to be even right? So I'm going to say that recieving an email about the golden ticket giveaway the day after I throw out the winter catalog (without looking at it) is going down as my 5th least favorite thing about Kuiu right now. And you know I would have went dumpster diving after that thing if the garbage man hadn't already ran.
For me the Kuiu gloves are fine for general purpose but in the cold they get cold.
Is Kuiu better than Sitka?
Quote from: Bean Counter on November 24, 2014, 07:38:27 PMIs Kuiu better than Sitka? I have both and prefer Kuiu. They are both quality clothing, but to me, Kuiu is better. DISCLAIMER: I think everyone should understand that both of these companies make clothing for mountain hunters that need performance clothing at a low weight. This type of clothing may not be suitable for all styles of hunting.
I haven't bought any new Kuiu gear in a few years as mine has held out great. Is it still made in Canada or is it made overseas now?MS
Do the clothes come with a good warranty and replacement ? One of the above posters mentioned that rough terrain tore up his pants. Does KUIU repair or replace?

Does KUIU repair or replace? Not that I'm aware of, but their clothing is surprisingly durable. My first piece of Kuiu gear is a pair of Attack Pants that I got for Father's Day, three seasons ago. They are my favorite piece of hunting clothing I own, and I've worn them on every hunt and scouting trip since I got them. Not to mention countless training hikes. The lower part of the legs are pulled from busting brush without gaiters, and there is one small burn hole from a camp fire ember, otherwise they are still going strong.
How bout washing tips on each piece? Any wool cleaning product recommendations?
Has anyone tried the Tiburon Pant? I just got the tiburon T and it is awesome! The tiburon pant seems like it would be a great early season/scouting summer pant. Just not sure on the 2-way stretch. anyone have experience with these?
