Most of the time when I wear gloves it's a pair of fleece ones with no finger tips, you can get them with the silicone stippling on the palm for better grip.  If I need to go full finger I get a pair of winter bicycling gloves from Performance Bike. But I don't have a problem with cold hands si it's usually the fleece fingerless ones.

I spent the bucks and got the Kuiu gloves since all there stuff is so well made.  Absolute CRAP!!!  Can't believe he put the Kuiu name on those things.

I just ordered the kenai series from Kuiu for a cold/wet glove.

Run mechanix for cold/dry, wool for waterfowl/fishing.

IMO you should layer your gloves just like your shirt/sweater/jacket  Soxs Wool/poly pro

I LOVE outdoor research over mittens and have also had a pair of Marmott overmittens that workded well. I normally wear wool,  or a pair of fleece/ leather fingered gloves under the cover. I also keep a couple of pair of gloves that are pointer finger less for shooting. 

These might be my next set of outer gloves. OR makes the best Gloves and Gators IMO They also make a bad ass Bivi sack.

I use SILK cold weather inserts to wear with my fingerless wool gloves. They work great. You have to get the heavy, winter type silk inserts.

I've used those surplus wool gloves as well, and got a large pair of rubber fishermen's gloves to stick them in when using the boat all winter.  I have to handle wet lines and other wet things in the boat and this was the only thing I could get to work decently.

I have yet to find a pair of insulated "waterproof" gloves that stay waterproof for more than a month, let alone a season.  Weathergirl won a gift cert for Evo Outdoors and bought a pair of gloves.  They ended up being too big for her, but fit my small hands.  The second time I used these "waterproof" gloves, one of my fingers got so wet I thought there was a rip in it, but there wasn't.

By chance, I found a pair of these on Black Peak. I liked them so much I replaced them after I put holes in them splitting wood all winter. Great compromise between warmth and dexterity. Like any glove, they will get soaked but take them off, ring them out and you're back in business.

For cold weather bow hunting, I have used these combined with a mid/ light manzella bow glove.  They also make a wool version with various insulation options.  Really easy to pop you hand out of the mitt when needed.  You can keep a hand warmer packet in it too.

Most of the time I use a pair of Flex Tech work gloves. If it's wet, I line them with some mechanics poly gloves, (like latex gloves). I use the poly gloves when I process an animal in the field. Both are very light in the pack. I do have a pair of wools with the sticky pads, or a pair of RedHead 'water proof' gloves, but they are NOT water proof.  I haven't found a style that is. I used to use a pair of neoprene fishing gloves but they wore out and my hands were too warm anyway.  If I know I'm going to be in really cold/snowy/windy weather, I have an old pair of Head gortex ski gloves. They're pretty good, but not something I could shoot with.  Like others have mentioned, your better models of motocross or ski gloves seem to provide the best protection from the elements.

So... Tagging this thread... Just in case someone really has found a good product.
