Thanks Tealer, appreciated.  If it thaws out I might bring my boat over.

Here's a report: It was darn wet out there last Sat and the birds seemed to fly a bit faster and more irratic than normal. Made for some darn tough shooting but my partner and I finally got it done. Some days we're just slower than other days, LOL.

Thanks for the input.  Spent the weekend scouting and clamming.  The Sunday morning tornado warning and marble sized hail made me glad I was sitting on the couch drinking coffee rather than being out on the water.

They were flying and decoying really well with the Lightning . It was just a little sketchy wading with it flashing close by haha

My partner and I saw the lightning but it ended by the time we launched. Good thing it did. Not real fond of motoring around during an electrical storm.

I really miss hunting Willapa. I live in Tacoma now, and haven't hunted it for years, but I grew up hunting there with my dad, and we hunted all of it, from Ledbetter all the way around to Palix on the other side.  Great, great hunting at times.   I would like to find a small sneak boat with a motor on it that would work in that environs, but I do remember one day on the Palix in a 14 ft boat and the wind kicked up, making 6 foot rollers, and I was just thankful I wasn't in a small sneakboat that day...

Yep, looked like some good spots for my sneakbox.
