My last two scopes came from the closeout page at Midway.com. Great price and service! The two before that were closeouts at http://swfa.com/Riflescopes-C1443.aspx. I don't need the latest and greatest designs in either cellphones or gun scopes. I'd much rather have something that's tried and true.

I know a guy who just saved about $300 + tax buying a Steiner online at B&H Photo.

I was the Post falls store today to get a scope. I had no idea about the system.  I didn't take one. I came home and ordered it on OpticsPlanet.  No tax no shipping. Saved over $100. Cool store to look at stuff but that's about it. Pretty sure the new Sportsmans opens here in a couple weeks.
Yep, store set starts this week  they usually have the best prices of any storefront retailer

The words Cabela's and customer service do not belong together in the same sentence! Dealing with them is like pulling teeth.

Guess it depends on where and when.
First let me say I've never found anyone at Cabelas that knew much of anything, no facts, just opinions. If I want something from them, I order it on line and pick it up at the store if it's to my advantage shipping price wise to do so.  IF I can get free shipping, I take it.  The redeaming value at Cabela's is their return policy, no questions asked, not so at the Warehouse.
I have the advantage of being able to go to Cabela's Post Falls store during week days, rather than weekends.  I won't go on weekends or holidays, my time is too valuable.

As often as not, if I am price hunting, I skip both Cabela's and the Warehouse and go on to the Blacksheep in CDA
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

Just a heads up, and the only reason I ever do buy from Cabela's, they're having a great discount on VX2s with CDS.
