trail cam help.

I'm looking at picking up a couple more cams. I have had 2 primos truth cam 35s. One quit working and the other is working just fine. They take good pictures day and night, and do well on batteries. I like the 35s but they are a little noisey. Found the 35s on amazon for $75. I was wondering if you guys would suggest any other cameras over the primos?

I have a couple of Brownings that are much smaller than my 35 but the Primos picture quality is slightly better even though the browning supposedly has twice the megapixels.

Also do any of you guys set you cams up in the tree higher and point them down toward the trail. I was reading about ways to protect my t cams and somebody suggestes setting them up 6-9ft in a tree. Just be sure to have it pointed in the right area

It's hard to beat the Primos 35 for the price, in my experience. You might look for a refurbished Moultrie m80. I picked one up several months ago for $65 and I really like it. But I haven't seen them for that price since. I have seen them for $100, and I'd probably pay that for the m80 before I'd pay $75 for the Primos 35. Battery life is better, they're a lot smaller, and picture quality is much better. Oh, and they're quiet.

 On Bobcats recomendation I picked up a couple Moultrie m80s. Awesome pics day and night. I was impressed. My brother in law brought his climbing gear and we put them about 12' up in a tree. Nobody was going to touch them. Didnt matter though. For over 2 months of soak time we never got a person on the cams. 1 camera had 1200 pics on it and still had 98% battery life left.

Of all the cams I have and my buddy has over 40...Im going with all wildgame innovations cams..done with the rest...cold weather on cams is the test and they ALL fail..just this week a brand new M-80 eating batts, truth cams taking no pics of deer, people works fine and this is a issue with a ton of cams I have owned in cold weather the sensor in below 30 deg weather just doesnt trigger on deer. They trigger on me, elk and moose.  ALL of my wildgame innovations cams work flawlessly and batts last forever even in single digit temps. The above mentioned cams work fine in the spring and summer

I own lots of different models of WGI cams and they all have worked great for years... by far the best cams I have owned. My fav is the lightsout cams..they have a wide angle pic option it really gives a much bigger field of view.

I have had mixed results with moultrie in cold weather. Like I said most cams work great in warm weather, its the cold that really shows what cams really work.

Thanks for the insight. I plan on owning multiple cams and finding what I like best. But WGI has a good rep. So they are next on the list

Just for a different perspective, I've had three WGI cams, and only one is still working. The two that quit didn't even see that much use before dying.

hmmmmmm, well hopefully the m80s works good. And i can just order more of them. I like their price tag!

my buddy has 32 wgi cams all working and all of mine  my M80 just ate 8 batts in 6 days

No, not really when they have good reviews.

Lot of reforms were done because of the "click" that was too audible for most people's liking.  They are my favorite cameras hands down.  I can't find anything wrong with them or the Bushnell Trophy cameras.
