Decoy dancer whip splash. Pretty excited to add it to the bag this year. I was going to go with a knotty duck but the were sold out everywhere and I didn't want to wait and this has good reviews so I figured I will give it a try. Will let you guys know how it works thanksgiving weekend!
This is the year im going to get drawn, i can feel it. NOT SELECTED, NOT SELECTED, NOT SELECTED, NOT SELECTED, NOT SELECTED, NOT SELECTED... damn :(

I have two of them.  They work good.  Pull them if you see the birds start to flare.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Just thought I would throw my experience in with this post from a while ago.

Whipsplash does its job adding motion to the spread but I had problems with the wing thumb nuts loosening and the wing falling off a lot. Also the wings started to loosen on their axles and I had to re glue. Had the main bolt that you put into the stake come loose and it's kind of a pain to disassemble and reassemble. Tried to get in touch with them several times with no luck. I really like this deke but with nothing to speak of on getting replacment parts with the website down and no returned calls idk I'm left wondering if I should have gotten a knotty.

Anybody else having issues?

Good to have in the aresenal, but I find after about week 2 in the tri cities, they tend to flair ducks, every spread has one or 2 in most cases.

Ran into the same problems with the wings coming unglued, and loosening up on the axle as well.

Good choice! I use the same one. I have had issues with the wings falling off and coming unglued as well. But its easy to fix and its still a great decoy. You should probably make a couple sets of wings to keep handy. Good luck! Enjoy!

The surgical tubing on mine broke last week while hunting. Made a trip to Arlington hardware to replace it.

I run 4 different whipsplashes and I help build them. If you have a problem call me.

How do you keep the dog out of the string on these types of devices?

Keep the string above the dogs height, I have had more problems with me forgetting about the string then I have had with my dog.

Run the decoy at least 3' off the water, keep the string high on the blind.

No problem. I will be working in the Decoy Dancer shop most of the week.
