I would do it.  Except for the non skinning, I get the hide off as soon as possible.

I think its a little weird he didnt skin it.  Its so much easier when its somewhat warm still. But being from Idaho, not really a surprise,my elk and deer cant be hidden in the back of my truck because they are so massive, so everyone sees!!!

In my dreams.

Look closer, it is skinned.
It is not skinned, clearly see the hide attached

I must have better picture software than you... Skin clearly off from neck down on top side. Plus looks like legs skinned to knee joint, there does appear to be hair under it at parts...

I agree with all the responses, but here are some numbers for everyone to consider.

Washington population as of 2010   6,724,000
Licensed individual hunters in 2010    190,000

Anybody see a problem?  Numbers are rounded.

Thats what i mean by division.... Numbers don't lie.  If they can take our guns (594) they sure the hell can take hunting too.  Like i said its a few tasteless people that will ruin it for Washington eventually.

I wouldnt worry about the meat if it was recent..its been frigid here

:yeah: that is the last thing to worry about  :chuckle:

It's so nice shooting a deer in sub-freezing temps
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

:yeah: It was in the teens so the meat is most likely fine since its gutted. Also why would you skin it if you still had to drive home and didnt have an enclosure to protect the meat from road grime? I always have a tarp in my truck to wrap around my deer after skinning to protect it from all that junk on the ride home but the times I havent and its below freezing I keep the hide on to protect the meat. Seems silly not to.
