What happened was the draw weight was higher than I should have been shooting, (practicing for deeper and further fish) so the bow got out of my hand just as I was coming to full draw and the cable rod hit my eye and head. I shot the Tri-Cities spawn-a-thon last month which was my first time shooting since the accident. We didn't even bother weighing in at the Tri-Cities shoot but it was fun and challenging at least.
None of this happened from the bowfishing specific gear such as the arrow or reel, I've never had a problem with the AMS reels and slides.

I only posted it under the bowfishing topic since it's what I was practicing for when it occurred.
