2008 Montana Badger....
« on: December 18, 2008, 07:38:09 PM »
Killed this Badger over in Montana this year on our buck hunt. Pretty neat critters, I've wanted one for the gun room for a while now, seem to be pretty elusive. Anybody call em? Will they respond to calls? Smoked him with my Sako 243. Enjoy..

Glad to see someone killing those *censored*s.  Never seen so many badger holes in my life.  Damn hard on the horses, but luckily no broken legs or messed up knees.  Heck I stepped in a few hidden under the snow.

My first year Elk hunting I seen a pair of badgers up by Mt Adams, I was heading back to camp for breakfast and they ran across the road in front of me, didn't really know what they were, I grabbed the 44mag and took off after them, followed them about 20 yrds until they turned around and I could see what they were, pretty cool little creatures with one hell of an attitude, they didn't like me following them.

Very nice.  I have heard of people calling them in, and the one of the Texas Predator Pursuit videows shows one coming in on a night hunt.  The folks that I know that hunt them regularly just spot them in the fields or dog towns and shoot them from a ways off.
Dreams are forever on the mind, realization in the hands.
