Idaho Muley for Jr.
« on: December 18, 2008, 07:44:28 PM »
Boy drew a peremit the pard and I have applied for, for 10 years. Drew out on his first year, first muley buck, 425 yards, with a Model 700 Classic 7MM my old man bought new in 1980 from Sunbirds. Anyhow, pretty nice buck for a 13 year old, though he doesn't look it, he was pretty wound up. enjoy..

Awesome. Had some buddies go to Idaho with no success this year.

No. 1, Pard and I have been going over there hunting whities for 10 years now. This was by far the worst year we've ever experienced, even worse than the season following the big EHD outbreak 5-6 years ago. The day my boy dumped this buck, we passed on a handfull of 110''-120'' type bucks that we should have smoked. After that, it was 2-3 dinks a day. Thats huntin!! As a note, we don't hunt where there's many, if any wolves? Try again next year. Later

Sweet buck.  One of these years I hope I can draw permit in Idaho.
