Rifle build HELP

So I can't find rifle that meet my needs. I'm asking you to help find good not too expensive gunsmith for my hunting rig build up.

Might help if there was more info? What do you plan on hunting with it and where do you primarily plan on hunting with it.What specifically are you not finding suitable to your needs with a factory rifle? What type of add ons and accuracy are you looking for? My buddy in Montana just got done with his new rifle,he bought a Tikka in 7mm rem mag,took it directly to the gunsmith and had a brake put on it and the scope mounted.Then he took it to another man for barrell break in and load development for 275 bucks.The end result was 5/8 inch groups at 300 yards(with a 1000 yard match shooter on the trigger), Winchester brass,69 grains H1000,168 grain berger VLD,2870 at the muzzle.My buddy can shoot targets great,put a heartbeat on that target and he's most likely to miss the barn while standing inside of it.

I'm want rifle 308win case (308,260,6.5 etc) #2 20" barrel with 1-10" twist for heavy bullets, front post not hooded rear peep sights. Extra long picatiny rail that let me have conventional or scout set up. And consistence groping 1-1.5" at 100 yards and no more that 7" at 400 yards. Ruger or savage or steyr not fit in this category. At the most 7lb

I think that the 7# limit is going to be the killer here. The barrel profile will save you some weight but the picatiny rail and iron sights may put you over unless you use a blind mag and possibly a plastic trigger guard. If the weight includes an optic, I don't think that it's going to happen no matter what.

If it weren't for the 308 case requirement you could pick up a Marlin XLR in 308 Marlin Express and and have the barrel chopped down with a new front sight installed. Then just install an XS rail and you're good to go. That gun should meet you accuracy requirement with no problem.

The final option would be to drop the money on a New Ultralight Arms model 20. They come in at 5# without optics or mounts. They're not cheap, but that's about as light as the come at any price.

your gonna want a 1-8 twist with .260. check out ershaw riffles they may be able to build it up

I am doing a budget build right now.  I bought a used Savage 110 in 30/06 from a Hunt-wa member a couple years ago with the plan to build a 6.5x284.  After thinking on it I decided I would really rather have a .260 Remington so I ordered a Criterion light varmint contour barrel.  Not because I need to but I had the bolt fluted and I plan to have the barrel fluted and install a brake (so I can see bullet impact in the scope..because I want to  ). I bought a Hogue aluminum bedded rubber overmold stock at a good price (might upgrade this later but it is actually comfortable and nice to shoot as is).  Still need to decide on optic, rings/mount and then I plan to have it cerakoted. I need a recommendation for a semi local smith to do the barrel fluting and muzzle brake install.  I am confident that this will be a sub moa shooter based on very preliminary load development. I hope for it to end up at about $1K not counting the optic.

I called Er Shaw rifle today and talk with Keith. They have amazing price for semi-custom rifles starts 950$. Rifles very heavy to be hunting rifle but if you like target that's a way to go. Called Savage to try purchase action from Lightweight hunter but they decline to sell just a action .
Shot Kimber Montana  over the weekend, very nice looking gun grate accuracy from bench . but stock is little to flexible to shot steady from hands.

If your looking for accurate and shootable that er shaw is the way to go. if you really just want light then you may have a hard time beating something like a weatherby ultra light . the heavier guns shoot so good but this is coming from a guy that packed a twelve pound gun on a sheep hunt. 8-9 pounds scoped really wouldn't be bad to pack at all .
