Thanks for the replies. The accutrigger sounds like the deciding factor so I'll think I'll spend the extra $100 and get the Savage.
I guess I might have to borrow a 223 from someone if I'm going to go nuts for yotes though.

I saw this earlier today.  No idea if this is a good deal or bad but since you're looking I thought I'd pass it along to you.

I'd love to buy the ruger but that's a little out of my price range. I'm still trying to figure out what I can sell or trade to get a gun. That's why the Mossberg seemed real appealing at $170

My wife bought me a stainless laminate savage 17 for my birthday last year and I must say it is FUN! It's also insanely accurate. I put a Nikon monarch 3-12 on it and and hitting dimes would be no trouble at 100 yards. It's become one of my favorite rifles.

i shoot  a CZ527 that has had a fair amount of work done to it. 150 yards coyote gun - NO PROBLEM....

I shoot Remington 700s in 22-250 and .308 at coyotes. I don't like looking for them.
