Openeing weekend was not so good. I hunted west side and it was really hot. I came home on the first tuesday and went back to work. Headed bact to Saint Helens on that friday. Took a really heavy 6x5 on the 18th. The second week the rut was in full swing and the bulls were vocal. It was an awsome hunt. We were on elk everyday.

:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
