:yike: How did that happen? Im getting ready to take a bunch of my archery club members out shooting carp... did it come back and whack u in the head?
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Ouch! That's hurts just looking at it! Are you still bowfishing? Care to elaborate on how that happened?

I would like to know how it happened as well. Did you not have a safety slide and tie the line to the back of the arrow?

What happened was the draw weight was higher than I should have been shooting, (practicing for deeper and further fish) so the bow got out of my hand just as I was coming to full draw and the cable rod hit my eye and head. I shot the Tri-Cities spawn-a-thon last month which was my first time shooting since the accident. We didn't even bother weighing in at the Tri-Cities shoot but it was fun and challenging at least.

None of this happened from the bowfishing specific gear such as the arrow or reel, I've never had a problem with the AMS reels and slides.  I only posted it under the bowfishing topic since it's what I was practicing for when it occurred.
