We used to do all our burger in them because they stacked well in the freezer (laid flat) and they thawed extremely fast because they were thinner than a package of burger.

That is a great idea!  I'll have to try that with the late season cow. :tup:

We weighed the burger in two pound  balls, put them in the bags and flattened them into the corners by hand before vacuuming.

Here are some smaller vac bags of sausage right out of the freezer. A couple minutes in cool water, cut and into the frying pan.
